DATO LEE CHONG WEI

Next, it will be Dato Lee Chong Wei. Lee Chong Wei (born 21 October 1982 in Bagan Serai, Perak) is a Malaysian Chinese professional badminton player. As a singles player, Lee was ranked first worldwide for 199 consecutive weeks from 21 August 2008 to 14 June 2012. Lee is a silver medalist in both the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games,Lee is a silver medalist in both the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games, making him the sixth Malaysian to win an Olympic medal and the first Malaysian to reach the finals in the men's singles event. And is the only Malaysian shuttler to hold the number one ranking for more than a year. In his early years, Lee favoured basketball, however his mother soon banned him from the game due to the searing heat of the outdoor basketball court. Lee began to learn badminton at the age of 11, when his father, who liked to play the game, brought him to the badminton hall.

Lee Chong Wei, for us, he is currently the most celebrated badminton player in Malaysia. In fact, he is the best player Malaysia ever had. We are supporting him not solely because he's a Malaysian, but as a player and person. We totally love every move he makes; his skills, speed, power and defence. Although Lin Dan has got a slightly better form than Chong Wei, we still prefer Chong Wei.

In 2006, he won the Malaysia Open defeating Lin Dan in an epic final where he was down by 13-20 in the decider (3rd set) and eventually won 23-21. We got interested in this person and asked them who is this person who won the title mentioned .He was ranked 4 in the world at that time before shooting up to no.1 for a short period of time.We has been supporting Lee Chong Wei back at home; from World Championships to Olympics and the Asian Games. Despite his lost multiple times at key tournaments, Chong Wei was awarded the Datukship title (equivalent to knighthood in England) upon bringing back silver from the 2008 Beijing Olympics and has been the world no.1 for more than 3 years now (as of 2011). For us, that is indeed a great feat in terms of consistency. He also won the national title 10 times in a row since 2002. An achievement which no Malaysian can beat in a long time.

Well, the best thing about this great badminton player, is his persistence on court and off-court. He is always accept  the fate in defeat, even so in triumph! He is a champion at heart and never let success goes to his mind. He never looks down on an opponent and always taking challenges seriously with everyone he face. He is the man to be inspired of. We have to give a salute to Lee as he is the player carrying the most burden in trying to deliver the success for Malaysia. Besides Chong Wei, who else will carry flag?

TAN SRI DATO SERI LIM GOH TONG

Last but not least, when we come to Malaysian Billionaire, we will recalled of Tan Sri Dato Seri Lim Goh Tong. Tan Sri Lim has passed away at the age of 90 because of a short illness, he was leaving with an estimated US$4.3 billion fortune. He was more than just a developer and a billionaire, he is a model of success, starting from climb, and his achievements came through hard work. As we know, Tan Sri Lim came from a very poor family but it gave him high motivation to be a successful person and change his fate. He climbed up step by step to walk through his path of life until his end of lifespan, and this is what inspired almost all of the Malaysian and even people from other countries. During his early childhood, his parents teach him traditional Chinese virtues, which focus on the importance of being humble person and applying all the good values.

Tan Sri Dato Seri Lim Goh Tong was studying classic Chinese at age 6 and was forced to leave school at age 16 due to his father, Lim Shi Quan passed away. After that, he took up the responsibilities to support his family. His main business is selling vegetables seeds. He continued his father’s business which is petty challenging and learned from their regular customers. In the year of 1965, Tan Sri Dato Seri Lim Goh Tong decided to build a tourist spot, which is Genting Highlands, located near to Kuala Lumpur. In year 1969, Genting Highlands began the construction of first hotel. At the same time, Tan Sri Lim was helped by the Malaysian government, and got him the only casino license in Malaysia.

Genting Casino Malaysia
However, there are some problems happened before Genting Highlands launched officially. When it was all readily to commence the business in January 1971, we could be saying that Kuala Lumpur and its surrounding areas were hit by the worst rainstorms so far. The road to Genting Highlands was closed. In this case, it actually affected the launching business of Tan Sri Lim’s hard work. It took them about four months to repair the damaged part. Finally, Genting Highlands commence for business on 8th May 1971.

Genting Highlands Malaysia
Tan Sri Dato Seri Lim Goh Tong mentioned: “The Genting project fitted my idea of an ideal business.” He thought of if no one was interested on his business, which meant no competition on this business. Besides that, he never makes languages as a barrier to succeed. He could not spoke or wrote in English, he spoke Hokkien most of the time when he is still in China. After coming to Malaysia, he started to learn Bahasa Malaysia, Cantonese and Mandarin. Although it might be tough to learn the language he was not familiar with, but he never complaint about the situation he was facing. In addition, we should be grateful for everything we have in our life.

We tend to learn a lot of value and guide from Tan Sri Lim. If we build a successful business and organization, we have to always believe that the most valuable asset of a company is - “people”. It is the people that make up the organization, it is the people that run the organization, it is the people makes things happen! We could also conclude that, without people who make all these wonderful things happening, Genting Highland is just a name. Thanks to Tan Sri Dato Seri Lim Goh Tong! We are fully inspired and respected as a Malaysian J

Where Do You See Yourself In Five Years Time ?

Now is already 21st Century, it means I am now already elder than before. Times flew away rapidly. Although now already is 2016, but we still have a very long journey to learn and to solve the problem that we will be faces in our daily life. In the same time, if a person who already graduate from University or they are already more than 50 years old, it does not means that they can stop to learn anything because human are born to be learn until the day they pass away. If a person stop learning anything in their life cycle, their mind will be outdated because nowadays our lifestyle are always changing and surround by the new technology. We cannot expect what will be happen in the next second, so I am always be prepared to face the challenge which might be happen in the next second. Although we cannot expect what will be happen in the next second, but once it had been happen, we can know that what we had seen and what kind of challenges we faced in the past and we learned from the challenges we had been faced.

Nowadays a lot of people put more of their time towards their career even that they have two careers at the same time. The reason is they want to earn more money to cover the expenses for their daily life, reduce the burden which they facing and they also want to have relax and enjoyable retirement life after they are pension without worried is there the retirement fund is enough or not. Although now I also want to earn more money to make my currently life more easier as the wages I get from my current part time job is very low, but I will not spend more of my time towards the career by working two or more job at the same time. The reason is I rather to spend more of my times with my family than spend more the time to earn more money because family are the most important for me and they always is No. 1 in my mind. In the same time, I willing to get the low wages from my current part time job because how much the money I own, it cannot buy back the feeling of warm and harmony which given by family. I always spend my weekend by accompanying my parents. In one week, my parents just will meet me for 2 days only because I am not staying with them and rent a room in Penang Island due to my current part-time job and my college is in Penang Island. During the time I am not at home with them and I will call to my parents few times a week to concern about my parents and make sure they are healthy, but I know that my parents hope that I can be always be with them although they did not say it out.

Meanwhile, within this five years my parents keep telling me that was nothing important than having a healthy body. Although it is boring and annoying for me that my parents keep repeating to tell me the same thing, but I am strongly agree with what my parents said. Few years ago when I was admitted into the hospital for 6 days due to dengue fever, during the time when I was admitted in the hospital, it was a tough and exhausted moment and also a nightmare for me because the nurse came over me to took my blood for blood test twice a day. The doctor and nurse not allow me to shower because of having high fever and the food in hospital was so tasteless. Furthermore, the environment in the hospital was make me feel dizzy and feels like going to vomit because the hospital full with the smell of medicine. When I was discharge from the hospital, I told myself that I must take a very good care with my health because I do not want to go back into hospital again and do not want to let my parents worry about my health. It is my responsibility to take a very good care with my body health and also my parents their health too. A person who are rich and own a lot of money, luxury good and always enjoy the luxury service, if he or she do not have a healthy body, those things which he or she own are useless and meaningless because health is not a product or service which can be buy. Health is wealth and health is the most top level intangible asset for human. As we are humans, without healthy body, we are nothing.

In additions, within these five years quite a lot of people around me look down on me because of my poor learning skill and speaking skill. Although I feel sad and angry because of they look down on me and create the rumors on me and spread around to hurt me, but I was not cared and just ignored about what they were said behind of me and how their judgement on me because the mouth was on their body, I do not have the right to control their mouth. Besides that, I will not waste my time on them because they are wasting their time on something which is meaningless and they are childish as well. I turn all the rumors created by them and their judgement on me as my motivation to show them I can do better than them and I am not same like before. I rather to do something which is meaningful than follow them doing those kind of wasting time and childish things.

In the conclusion, human are born to be learn and move forward for the future. Within these five years, I feel that my behavior, attitude and my thinking was change a lot compare with the past because I am able to convert the challenges I had been faces within these five years into motivation to motivate me to do much better than the past without disappoint my parents.

After 2 to 3 years, my family and I would be settled down, I would have also have got married with a girl whom I feel deeply in love, who has been there to be a mother of a son or daughter and lovely wife to me. a simple woman without perfect outlook and just need to know how to create a harmony in a family is enough for me. therefore, I would realize my dreams to be the best husband and that nobody has ever had. I wish to see us having money because we worked so hard over the years to be where we stand. moreover want to learn a lot about life in general! My future career already mentions, my future type of family been subsequent, next I want to mentioned about the lifestyle I wanted. Nowadays life is getting stressful. Travelling is one of method to reduce the stress. I would like travelling around the world. because travelling can Getting accustomed to different cultures and You tend to see different places that you haven’t seen before. I plan to go at least once a year if I can’t bare it too much. the place that I wish to reach was Korea, Japan , China, Germany and USA. These are several country that I wanted to visit because there have four seasons that is summer, winter, spring and autumn. Hahahaha…. Malaysia also have four season, that is raining season, hot season, fruit season and flood season. those different countries got it own special attraction just like Japan famous with Sakura flower and Fuji mountain. One of the seven wonders allocated at china was great wall of china. I want to take a selfie with statue of liberty. Visit the memorial wall of berlin in Germany. try ancient taste of kimchi in Korea. Having travel is one of my planning in this 5 years.

After 5 years from now I expect myself as a complete and successful man in all my respective characters like- a husband, a son, a brother, a colleague, and an ideal citizen. I hope I can build a happy family in those 5 years. but I know there will be a lot of obstacles that will be in our way, and its hard these days to achieve, I will do my best to repay my both mother and father for the rest of my life. they have face all the difficulties to adopt me until now.so is not a problem for me treat them even better.

Everyone has their own wonderful dreams and hope for future, whether they want to become a pilot and travelling around the world, or become a successful businessman who can enjoy all the profit and responsible for the risk, they might as well feel it is extremely challenging. I have dreams for the future just like everyone else. I dream of the good life with a lot of money, healthy family, lovely husband, luxury house, cars, and plenty of delicious food surrounding me, as well as travelling to the countries I love! In this case, I will do whatever I can to achieve my dreams and I will never stop!

As I plan, I would like to take five years time to see the results of my dreams. I am currently 21st years old and studying in college for my Bachelors’ Degree, this will be my first step to achieve my dream. I will do my best to keep my results excellent and maintain in every semester, because I know that it will help me to get a better career in the future. Firstly, I will not to skip any class during my college days so that I would not miss what have taught by lecturers. At the same time, I will also complete all the assignments on time and without losing the right quality. In the third year of my Degree life, I will have an internship as well. I want to search for a good company where can provide me with top quality skills and knowledge. I am willing to learn as much as I can during my internship without an expected salary. After internship, it is nearly the day of completing my course. By the time I get this degree, I will be around 23rd years old, and I hope that it will all be worth it.

Continuously, family is vital important for me. The reason of this is because, without my family, I cannot even achieve my first step, which is now, having a degree in college. Thus, I will give my family a better life after I get a good career with good salary. With this, I plan to get an office job in Australia for one and a half year. My boyfriend and I plan to work hard together in Australia, we will have our own career and we are looking forward to a great life for both of us. He is a Permanent Residence (PR) in Sydney, Australia. Of course, I will also apply for a PR. We decide to buy a house there instead of renting a house because it might cost us a huge amount of rental fees. At the same time, if we have an extra room available, we could also rent the room to the others. In this case, we can earn extra income and reduce our installment for our house. Other than that, we plan to cook ourselves rather than having our meal outside because eating out is very expensive and the portion is limited. Throughout that, we will also have our meals in the restaurant once in a while because we knew that we are quite laid back.

After two years in Australia, we plan to travel back to Malaysia to settle down. We wish to own a house and a car, or perhaps we could get marry in Malaysia? By the time, I am 26th years old and he is 28th.  As I planned, it will be the best timing for us to get marry! We will have a grand, beautiful, and comfy house in our hometown where filled with love. In addition, we would consider how many children we will want to have, it might be one boy and one girl, two boys and one girl, two little boys, and the possibilities are unpredicted but three is the most. We can raise our children together and get older together. The most important thing that I hope is, he is my Mr. Right.
The one who pampered me all the time,
Also, the one who i want to spend my future with :P

Moreover, I would like to travel with the one that I dear most. I wanted to travel along with my family, husband and my childrens. Travelling around the world is part of my plan, the places that I would love to be travelling to are Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, Paris and Dubai. Taiwan is always in my “MUST-TO-GO” list, it is because Taiwan do have various of delicious food! It makes me go insane and exciting when I am thinking of Taiwan. Besides that, Korea is my second country to dream of going as I love Korean food especially barbeque pork belly and Kimchi. Other than that, Korea tend to have a lot of actor and actress that I admire, and even idols such as Song Joong Ki, Lee Kwang Soo, Lee Jung Suk, SHINee, and Song Ji-Hyo. Among that, Korea has a lot of marvelous scenery to explore. It was said that, the best season to go to Korea is during the season of Spring, which is located in the month of March to June. The country where I will spend my Honeymoon will be in the city of love, France.

In a nutshell, I have big plans for my coming five, ten and even twenty years later. I will make something best of myself, and not to give up easily. Although I have some fear of failure, but I would not let it compete over me. Besides that, my parents tend to expect my successful life, and I think I have done a great job for them, and as well for myself. Of course, my dreams are one of the factors that keep me going until now. However, the possibilities of my future are all endless. Life is not about finding, it is about creating. So now I am creating myself in five years time, and I hope it will all be my valuable finding in my future page of life!

My name is Angel Yeoh Xin Yee and I am an ordinary grown adult who is 21 years old. I am currently studies for Business Management course at Segi College. Besides, I am Degree student for year 2. Previously, I studied for my Diploma in Business Administration at Tunku Abdul Rahman University College about two years. I still remember the day that I stepped in Tunku Abdul Rahman University College to ask for course information and made decision whether which courses to choose among many courses. After a few weeks, I decided to choose Business Administration as my main course in my diploma studies. Besides, I still remember we had icebreaking to let us knew coursemates on the first day of my diploma studies life. Although my Diploma life past two years may seem like a very short time, but when I have goals and looking forward for the future, then my next five years may go by so fast.

After graduated from Tunku Abdul Rahman University College, I will start by saying that I have my goals set for my future life. Therefore, I am proceeding my Degree studies in Business Management, also known as BABM, at Segi College to get certification after done my Degree studies. Thus, the purpose to proceed my Degree studies in Business Management at Segi College is to learn the way how to communicate with other people like friends and family. Next, I should improve my language, especially English. In the college, there are many students which are Malays and Indians other than Chinese. So, this might be a chance for me to improve my English in communicating with them while raising myconfident. English is a very important language in further career use as well as daily life.

After graduate from my Degree studies, I should think about my life goals and plan to accomplish it. It is a good beginning for my new page of life as a grown adult. Life is full of challenging. Therefore, I have to face it and accept it as well. There is a few common questions will be asking by my parents after I have complete my Degree studies. What is it to be truly Malaysian?

In 31 August 1957, Malaysia declared the independence after several negotiations which among Malaysians lead by Tunku Abdul Rahman and the British. On that day, Tunku Abdul Rahman declared the independence of Malaysia by shouting out "Merdeka" seven times proudly at the Merdeka Stadium.  Different skin colour, different culture, different religion and we are united, only in Malaysia!” Malaysian was outstanding with the social culture, intellectual, intergrity and politeness. Therefore, Malaysian deserve a great view from other countries.

MALAYSIA FAMOUS SPORT ARTIST

Malaysia famous with several sports such as badminton, bowling, football, tennis, squash, golf, horse riding, martial arts and skate boarding. But when it comes to sports, one sport in particular has a somewhat universal appeal for Malaysians which is football and badminton. Some of the most well-known athletes of Malaysia includes Datuk Soh Chin Aun, who was the youngest player to be part of the national team at 21 was often referred to as "Tauke" (boss) that recently been showing in the movie title “Ola Bola”. But when it comes to football, there is none of a Malaysian can ever forget the "Supermokh", Datuk Mokhtar Dahari.

Beside that, the other sport icon is Dato' Lee Chong Wei . Dato' Lee Chong Wei as a badminton player began when he was discovered by Misbun Sidek, a former national badminton player turn coach. MALAYSIAN FOOD

Other than that, to be a truly Malaysian, we would say that Malaysian food is one of the category that is including into this topic. None other places of overseas country could actually have the exact same taste as what we are having in our own country, Malaysia. We are actually very pleased to be Malaysian as this country do provide multicultural types of food in the market. By what is the reason that Malaysian food was named as a multiple culture food is because, it was actually influenced by a few crossed country cuisines in the history, such as Thailand, Indonesia, Chinese and Indian (SBS Food 2008, para 1).

Thus, Malaysian dishes that are always pleasant to be recommended by us are, Nasi Lemak, Char Koay Teow, Laksa, Roti Canai and more.

Pearce (no date, para 6) proposed that, Nasi Lemak is the national dish for Malaysia, and they are also very well known to be Malay culture type of food.

Besides that, Laksa, which is one of the dish that is created by Malay and Chinese and now it is also a globally known type of dish. Country such as Australia, normally in the Asian stall or restaurant, they do serve Laksa, but they will usually name it as “Curry Laksa” unless they do serve “Asam Laksa”, which has the same fish paste Laksa in Malaysia (SBS Food 2008, para 4).

Among those, there is another kind of Malaysian food, which is created by Indians with their traditional ways of doing it such as Roti Canai, it is also known as Indian breads. Generally, there are a lot of Malaysians will head to the restaurant which is always recognised as the “Mamak Stall” just to have some Roti Canai there while chatting with their friends, or to watch football matches during the night hours. Besides that, some Malaysians might also have Roti Canai as their breakfast.

These are the Malaysian food that we will proudly present to anyone from the overseas and for those who might not knowing what is great to try when they are in Malaysia. Other than that, as a Malaysian that do travel aboard to overseas for studies or work will also truly miss their own hometown food, even if they did go to the Malaysian restaurant in the overseas, they will still miss the original taste of Malaysian food from their own nation country.
